I have driven past the Washington DC Temple many times in awe of it’s grandeur and beauty. With the six spires atop what seems to be a castle on a hill, the Washington DC Temple is nothing short of magnificent. When I was contacted by Audrey and Justice about photographing their wedding at the Temple I was thrilled! Not only was this venue one on my photography bucket list but this couple was just so sweet and genuine I couldn’t wait for our consult.

We met in a small cafe in Dupont Circle and I knew instantly that we were a perfect fit. Their beaming love for each other and their love for the Lord was so evident. Since there engagement was short and their wedding was fast approaching we didn’t have the usual time to really get to know each other and for them to get comfortable in front of my camera with an engagement session. This however, was not a problem at all because they are both so natural together!

As I awaited for them to come out of the Washington DC Temple after their Sealing, I was able to photograph the beauty of the Temple and the grounds. They are nothing short of amazing! When they stepped out of the Temple doors you could see their beaming smiles and all their joy to now be husband and wife! We headed to the east side of the Temple for their family and bridal party formals and then headed to Old Town Alexandria for their couples portraits!

We started at the beautiful Carlyle House with its beautiful architecture and garden and then made our way to the covered bridge just a short drive away.

Audrey and Justice’s reception was at their local church and was a DIY dream! Justice’s dad made this amazing chandelier out of a wooden wheel, mason jars and strings of crystals.  The gorgeous cake was made by Justice’s sister and all of the handmade details just made  my heart swoon.

Congratulations Justice and Audrey! I wish you a lifetime of happiness!
