Last week I had the pleasure of photographing a beautiful family at an iconic time in Washington DC, Cherry Blossom season! Every year in the Spring, usually the end of March or beginning of April, the plethora of cherry trees in Washington DC go into full bloom.  People from all over the country flock to the Nation’s Capitol to experience the beautiful blooms and they never disappoint!

As this was our first year here in the National Capitol region, this was my first experience with Washington DC’s Cherry Blossom festival and peak bloom week.  The city was buzzing with commotion and there was an abundance of families and photographers out to capture it all! My first ever Cherry Blossom session was with the Hwang family.  They are some of the sweetest people I have ever met and little Sarah was such a doll the entire session!

We started at the Jefferson Memorial and then headed to the George Mason Memorial just us the road.  The light that is cast in these two locations never disappoints and the lovely pink blooms played so well with the light and airy outfit choices the Hwang family made!
