A couple of weeks ago I kicked off my 2018 wedding season with the sweetest couple and the most beautiful Washington DC wedding! Just a short drive outside of Washington DC is Rocklands Farm, a beautiful working farm/ wedding venue. With fresh from the garden spring florals everywhere and the most perfect weather for this beautiful brunch wedding, I was in photographer heaven.

Sasha and John met at Boston University and fell in love over Hockey. They even brought their love for the sport to their engagement session at Theodore Roosevelt Island- read more about that HERE– and are two of the absolute sweetest people you will ever meet in your life!

Their wedding was filled with joy and laughter and even a few happy tears from John (nothing can beat a groom getting teary seeing his bride!) Family and friends came from near and far to see these two start this chapter of their love story and I am so thrilled I was chosen to document it! There were so many details about their wedding day that I just have to rave about. First, Sasha’s engagement ring was her grandmothers from 1949! How sweet is it, that she is able to look down every day and not only think of her husband but also her grandmother?! The Donut wall- her dad made it!!!! I mean seriously, if I had a reason to own a donut wall I would have totally bought it from him, lol! All seriousness though, I was very impressed with his handiwork!

Sasha and John both looked amazing on their wedding day and I cannot begin to gush about how much I love these images, and that they were the couple I got to start the year with! Enjoy just a few of my favorites from their big day!
